His parents are doctors by profession. Father is a Pediatrician and the mother is a Gynecologist. He had done his schooling at St Paul School and Kiddy’s School in Gwalior.
Later, he moved to Mumbai and pursued his graduation in engineering in Biotechnology from D.Y.Patil College of Engineering, located in Navi Mumbai, while secretly nurturing ambitions for his career in film. He said that he used to skip the classes and spent two hours attending auditions.
Since his childhood, he had dreamed to become an actor. After three years of unsuccessful auditions of films, he joined an acting course at Kreating Charakters Institute.
He had also done modeling while in university. After signing for his first film, he informed the parents of his ambition to become an actor.
While he was pursuing his third year of the degree, he made a debut movie with Luv Ranjan’s buddy film Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011, co-starring Divyendu Sharma, Raayo S Bakhirta, and Nushrat Bharucha, the movie portrays all about the romantic tribulations faced by three young men.
The movie appeared as a sleeper hit and he got nominated for the “Producers Guild Film Award for Best Male Debut”. After the release of Pyaar Ka Punchnama, he completed his degree at the request of his mother.
In 2013, he played the role Akash in the movie “Akaash Vani” and then in 2014, he played a leading role in the movie “Kaanchi: The Unbreakable”. Both the movies got a good rating at the box office. Even though he is a vegetarian, he ate 25 eggs a day to gain weight for his movie “Akaash Vani”.
Later, he got a chance to act in the second part of “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”. The movie was a blockbuster hit and made a huge collection at the box office. He was awarded as stardust for “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2” in the category of best actor for the comic role.
In 2017, he worked for two movies named “Atithi in London” and “Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety”. Both the movies were released in 2018. “Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety” has created a buzz after the release of the movie trailer. After the movie was released it reached Rs.100 crore collection in the box office.
In addition to acting in movies, he is the brand ambassador of the cream Emami Fair and Handsome and also for the body spray Envy1000. In 2016, he was a member of the All-Stars Football Club, which organizes football matches for charity. He participated with several other actors, including Ranbir Kapoor, for a tournament that was held in New Delhi.
Aaryan was scheduled to take part in the club’s next tournament, held in Singapore in 2018, but he did not participate in the tournament because of dislocating his toe during practice. In the same year, he stood for awareness of plastic pollution during World Environment Day.
He hosted the 19th IIFA Awards held in Bangkok, with the co-host Ayushmann Khurrana and also he performed at the ceremony. In Singapore, during Summer Couture 2018, for Manish Malhotra, he walked along with Kareena Kapoor as a showstopper.
Kartik is undoubtedly a very young star to take his place in the 100 Crore clubs too early along with his co-actor Sunny Singh and actress Nushrat Bharucha.
