Career
Karishma has started her career at the age of 17. In 2001 she acted as Indu in the most popular daily soap Kyun Ki saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
After she appeared in many TV serials Kahi toh Milenge, Des Mein Nikla Hoga Chand, Kkoi Dil Mein Hai, Shararat, Kkusum, Paalkhi, and many more.
In 2005 Karishma tried her luck in the Bollywood film industry Dosti: friends forever in which she worked along with superstars like Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Lara Dutta, Juhi Chawla which was like a Dream come true for her, but the movie was a flop at the Box Office.
In 2011 she worked in a Kannada film I am sorry: Mathe Banni preethsona as a lead actress. She also acted Golu Aur Pappu and then in Sanjay Dutt’s Biopic Sanju she played the role of the Madhuri Dixit opposite Ranbir Kapoor.
Later she appeared as a dancer in a TVserials like Kumkum Bhagya, yeh Vaada Raha.
Ekta Kapur’s Naagarjuna – Ek Yodha and Qayamat Ki Raat as Gauri / vaidehi on Star Plus.
She was a contestant and first runner-up in the reality show Bigg Boss in 2014.
She also appeared in other reality shows like Zara Nachke Dikha (2008).
