FARHAN AKHTAR BIOGRAPHY
He was born to Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani on 9th January 1974. His parents are Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani.
His sister is Zoya Akhtar. She is a very successful Bollywood director who has directed many well-known movies like Gully boy, Dil Dhadakne Do, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Luck By Chance and Bombay Talkies.
Javed Akhtar is a renowned poet, screenwriter, and lyricist. Javed Akhtar was awarded one of the most prestigious awards “Padma Shri”, “Padma Bhushan”, The Sahitya Akademy Award and five National film Awards.
His Grandfather was a great Urdu poet Jaan Nisar Akhtar, and his great Grandfather was Muztar Khairabadi who was again a very well known poet and writer of those times.
Farha Khan and Sajid Khan are the cousins of Farhan Akhtar who are directors and choreographers of the bollywood film industry. He pursued his primary and secondary education at Maneckji Cooper school in Mumbai, and he studied law in the HR College in Mumbai. Mumbai.
He got married to Adhuna Bhabani in 2000. She was a famous hairstylist, and Dil Chahta Hai was her first debut as a hairstylist in Bollywood. They have two daughters, namely Akira and Shakya.
But due to some personal reasons, they announced their separation after sixteen years of marriage on 21st January 2016.

Now according to the reports, he is in relation with an Indian singer, actress, and famous model Shibani Dandekar. She is a well-known anchor. She initially was an American television anchor. Later she acted in some of the movies like Sultan.
They both get married this February(2022)
Her recent film in which she worked was Mahalakshmi. In an interview with Anupama Chopra, he said that as a kid, he is too much influenced by movies.
In childhood, he would pretend like the characters of the film and play around. He considers his mom as the harshest critic and says she was the one who supported him and stood by his side all the time and especially at the time of crisis.

His debut movie in Bollywood was Yash Chopra’s Lamhe in 1991. He was only 17 years old then. He acted in many films directed by his sister Zoya Akhtar.
Some of his hit movies are Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Dil Dhadakne Do, Lamhe. He has made his directorial debut with the movie Dil Chahta Hai. He says it was a turning point in his career.
He has written the English lyrics of Gurinder Chaddha’s Hollywood film Pride and Prejudice in 2004. Then in 2006, he wrote the screenplay of Don starring Sharukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra.
He even produced comedy films: Baar Baar Dekho, Bangistan, Raees and Fukrey Returns. His recent movie is The sky is pink which starred Priyanka Chopra and Zaira Wasim.
Akhtar considers singing as his passion. He made his singing debut in a movie titled Rock On!! He produced this film and even wrote dialogues for this film.
He gave some hit songs to the industry like Dil Dhadakne Do from the movie Dil dhadakne do, Senorita from the movie Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara where he was accompanied by Abhay Deol and Hrithik Roshan.
He was one of the nine judges in the beauty pageant Femina Miss India. He judged Nach baliye season 1 in 2005. He is a brand ambassador of Pureit, IndusInd Bank, Dulux Paint, and Titan Industries.
He even runs a social campaign MARD which stands against rape and sexual harassment.
