Sakshi Tanwar  is  a famous tv personlity known for the daily soaps. She was part of Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani(2000-2008) and Bade Aache lag The Hain(2011-2014). With soaps era coming in to play in 2000 both Sakshi Tanwar and Smriti Irani  became household name and ruled the roost for more than 10 years.

Sakshi Tanwar serial  ‘Ghar Ghar ki Kahani’ and Smriti Irani’s Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi successfully ran  for 8 years and both the actress gained popularity. They were not only popular in India but worldwide.

Later Smriti Irani moving on to politics to become union minister and Sakshi Tanwar made it to the big screen with recent Amir Khan starred Dangal(2016) and mohalla Aisi(2018)

Sakshi Tanwar was born on 12th January 1973  in a middle-class family and her father was a retired CBI officer. His name is Rajendra Singh Tanwar. Her place of origin is Alwar, Rajasthan, India. She did her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya and graduation from the prestigious Lady Shri Ram College in New Delhi.

For some time she worked as a sales trainee in a five-star hotel. She was active in dramatic society and hold the position that of ‘secretary and president’ for a certain period.

After graduation, while preparing for the entrance tests to the administrative services and mass communications, her first stint in acting came. She auditioned and was selected as a presenter for Albela Sur Mela Doordarshan’s film songs based program which was aired in 1998.

In early 2000 Ekta Kapoors soap Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani made Sakshi famous. She gained wide recognition and fame playing the role of Paravti Agarwal. The role hit the Indian audience and she became beloved bahu of the nation.

The soap serial ran for  years and again in 2011 she joined with Ekta kapoor to play as Priya Kappor opposite Ram kappor ‘Bade Achhe Lagte Hain’. which was lapped by indian audience,

 She  appeared in Kaun Banega Crorepati twice in 2005 with smriti irani and in 2012&2013 with Ram kapoor

In 2016 she forayed in to bollywood with the film Dangal playing Daya kaur, wife of former wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat (played by Aamir Khan), Tanwar role was well appreciated by critics for acing up with punter Amir Khan.

2018 Mohalla Aissi received  mixed reviews. Sakshi Tanwar is coming back with new season of ‘Tyohaar Ki Thaali’
