Personal Life
Sobhita was born in a place called Tenali, in Andhrapradesh. She belongs to a Telugu Brahmin family. She is a trained Bharatnatyam and Kuchipudi dancer.
She moved to Mumbai to pursue her career in Films. She studied her academics in HR college of commerce and Economics at the University of Mumbai.
In the year 2013, she was the winner of Femina Miss India South. She got auto-entry into the top 23 of the 50th year of Femina Miss India.
She was awarded as Miss Stylish hair, Miss Adventurous and Miss Fashion icon, Miss Talent, Miss digital diva. She was adjudged Femina Miss India 2013. Next year in 2014, she featured in Kingfisher Calendar.
Early Career of Sobhita
As she featured in the Kingfisher Calendar in the year 2014, she got many offers in the fashion industry. She was featured in many fashion magazines. She was the brand ambassador for ‘Kalanjali‘ which is South India’s textile giant for the years 2014-16
She made her debut with Anurag Kashyap‘s ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’ starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ramanna and Vicky Kaushal as ACP Raghavan. She was nominated by critics for best supporting performance in the debut film.
In early August 2016, she signed two films, ‘Kaalakaandi’ and ‘Chef‘ both starring opposite Saif Ali Khan. She made her debut in Telugu film ‘Goodachari‘ starring Adivi Sesh.
Controversy
After her movie ‘Goodachari’ released, Mahesh Babu the south Indian superstar appreciated the team. In reply, she mentioned “thankyou”.
Mahesh Babu’s fans felt offended for not addressing him with respect and trolled Sobhit. On the trolling, she said, “I was more confused than offended. It is a ‘thank you!’ that trolls took off on. I have immense respect for him, come on! That whole episode was pretty silly.”
She also said “Renowned people from all fields receive unnecessary flak so often. Anonymity is misused and it is a terrible thing to want to break somebody’s spirit.”
