He was brought up in Mumbai. At a very young age he decided to become an actor. In the year 2007, he made his debut through Bollywood film MP3: Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar
He was also part of some movies like Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, Dangerous Ishq, and I Don’t Luv U. These movies didn’t do good at the box office.
Later he made television debut with ‘Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara‘. He was also part of the famous series such as Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Balika Vadhu, and Laal Ishq. After 6 years, he made a comeback into films with ‘Jabariya Jodi‘ in the year 2019.
His parents are Sajid Mumtaz and Anjana Mumtaz. His mother is an actress. She worked for Bollywood films like Koi Mil Gaya, Dhadkan, Dulhe Raja, etc
He was earlier in a relationship with actress Sasha Agha.
