Prabhu Manohar Parrikar was born on 13 December 1955 in Mapusa Goa. His

He had studied in Loyola High School, Margao. He did his secondary education in Marathi. He was graduated in metallurgical engineering from the IIT Bombay in 1978. He became the first IITians to become an MLA in the country.

Manohar Parrikar joined the RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) at a very young age. He was very active member in the RSS’s North Goa unit. At the age of 26 he became sanghchalak.
