Gurmukh Singh and Amrit Kaur were blessed with a child and he is nonother than Manmohan Singh. He was born on 26th September in Gah, Punjab, British India. From childhood Manmohan was under his grand mother as he lost his mother at early age so he is so close to his grand mother.

After the Independence of India, India is divided into 3 parts and at the time of Partition Manmohan singh’s family migrated from Pakistan to Amritsar i.e in India. Then In India, he started his education where he studied at Hindu college.

He worked as professor of international trade in 1969 at the Delhi school of economics.

In the year 1972, he started working as the Chief economic advisor to the ministry of finance. Then he became the secretary in the ministry of finance in 1976.

Starting his political career, Singh firstly appointed as finance minister where he served his nation with some discipline. In 1991 India faced major financial crisis,during this peak time Manmohan and prime minister Rao took some major principles and excluded some policies and overcame the major crisis. Then Rao and Manmohan both deregulated the Indian Economy.

They eliminated Permit Raj from the Indian economy. After deregulating economy,  the Indian Investigation officials reports criticized Manmohan singh due to this reason Manmohan singh resigned his ministry but rao rejected his resignation letter.

After this Manmohan Singh elected to the upper house Rajya sabha . He was re-elected for Rajya Sabha two to three times. In 1999, he contested for the Lok Sabha from South Delhi but was unable to win the seat.

Then INC he became the accidental prime minister where Sonia Gandhi made him as prime minister without a single win.He took the oath as the Prime Minister of India on 22 May 2004.
