Drasthi Early Life

Drasthi is a gorgeous and upcoming star who was born on 10^th January in 1985 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She is from a Hindu Orthodox family.

Her parents were very strict and in the same way supportive. She completed her primary and secondary schooling in Mary Immaculate Girl’s High School in Borivali, Mumbai.

She is a very good student and she used to get good grades in exams. She completed her higher education and a degree in Mithibai College and received her degree in Sociology. She has brother Jaysheel Dhami.

Career

Drasthi started her career as dance instructor. She used to train dance for students. She is also a good dancer. She also won many awards through dance competetions. After her dancing career she make her way into modeling. She represented herself as the fashion model, with her looks and body language she became heartthrob for many people in those days. She also acted in many commercial ads for many brands.

First time when she asked for a Dance video in a music album, her parents refused to act as they are from an orthodox background. Many of her relatives also refused her acting career. But one person in her family that is her brother who supported her and convinced each and every relative for her acting career.

Then she made her first song shoot Saiyan Dil Mein Aana Rei. She also appeared in many music videos and Music albums some of them are Humko Aaj Kal Hai, Teri Meri Nazar Ki Dori, and Nachle Soniya Tu.

After her career in Dance she entered into acting field and many commercial TV ads asked her to act and some of them are Colgate (toothpaste) with Saif Ali Khan, Lion Honey, Pulimoottil Silks, Vasan Eye care, RKS Grand (Shopping Mall), Amul, and VIP Bags.

Dhami first time appeared as the TV Series actor in the Star One show Dill Mill Gayye, where she represented as Dr. Muskaan. She then appeared as the female lead on the STAR One show Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi. Dhami got recognition with her acting of the character Geet in Geet – Hui Sabse Parayi.

Her acting performance in this show gave her more popularity and even she lived in the character and performed very well, with her acting this show got many more viewers to watch.

Dhami also participated in dance competition for the show Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha. She then asked for the lead role in the Colors TV serial Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon opposite to Vivian Dsena and She accepted this successfully worked for this show more than two years.

Drasthi Dhami has been the brand ambassador of MATRIX India’s hair color brand. Dhami also portrayed the roles of Rani Gayatri and Savitri on the show Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani on Zee TV In 2015.

She was also part of a web series called I Don’t Watch TV. She acted with many Television stars in this web series.

Drasthi Dhami started playing Naina Batra, the lead role in the Star Plus series and Ekta Kapoor’s Pardes Mein Hai Mera Dil which is hosted by Star Plus. She acted with co-star Arjun Bijlani. The show telecasted in June 2017.

Recently she played the role Nandini, story based on the domestic violence on girls in the serial Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka aired on Colors.

She appeared in many reality shows and also made her Guest appearances in big reality shows like BigBoss hosted by salman khan.

In 2016, She married to her dating boyfriend Neeraj Khemka on febrauary 21st. Her sister-in-law is also a TV star. Neeraj is a businessman. Neeraj is a NRI but he made his way to Mumbai and settled here for Dhami.

Dhami was selected as the brand ambassador for Canvironment Week 2011 and 2013 to support the cause of ‘Save Our Planet’. In 2016, she was part of the Swachh Survekshan 2017 Initiative for an environmentally cleaner India (Swachh Bharat Abhiyan).
