Shantanu Maheshwari is an Indian Television Actor, Dancer, Choreographer who was born on 7th March 1991 in Kolkata, India. He works in the Hindi television industry. He is a trained dancer and is well known for his dance moves. Shantanu made debut in the TV show Dil Dosti Dance on Channel V in 2011.
His performance as protagonist Swayam Shekhawat brought him name and fame. He soon became a heartthrob for many.
He moved to Mumbai from Kolkata for higher studies. He has done his education at St. Joseph’s College, Kolkata.
He wanted to become a Chartered Accountant. He was not interested in dancing initially. He wanted to study well and do a good job.
Dil Dosti Dance, the show in which he was part, continued for four years. Shantanu Maheshwari and vrushika mehta had very good chemistry which brought them recognition.
Shantanu made his debut in 2001 on the Star Plus show Kya Masti Kya Dhoom. He has also appeared in many Indian reality TV shows like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9, Bigg Boss 10, Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 8 also a winner. He has also performed in American dance shows such as America’s Got Talent (season 11) and World of Dance Season 2.
Shantanu played the role of Afsaan in the Gangubai Kathiawadi movie which was released on 22nd Feb 2022. The movie also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgan. This movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
