Early Life
Sonu Sood is born on 30th Jully 1973 in Moga, Punjab. Sood belongs to a Punjabi family. His father is a businessman and his mother is a professor in English and History. He has two sisters.
Education
Sood completed his schooling from Punjab and later moved to Nagpur and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering in Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering, Nagpur. In the fourth year of his engineering at Nagpur, Sood participated in the Grasim Mr. India contest and made it to the top five. Sood is happily married to Sonali, and they have 2 sons name Ishant and Ayaan
Career
He made his debut with a Tamil Film Kallazhagar in 1999. Later he appeared in the Telugu film Hands Up in the year 2000. In 2001, he appeared in a film named Majunu.
He then began appearing in Hindi films. His first film was with Shaheed-E-Azam, as Bhagat Singh in 2002. Sood got famous when he acted as Abhishek Bachchan’s brother in Mani Ratnam’s Yuva in 2004 and in Aashiq Banaya Aapne in 2005.
He became famous in the south with the film Super. In this film he was the second hero along with Nagarjuna. This film was directed by Puri Jagannath. The film was a blockbuster which got him more and more offers in the Telugu industry. Soon he signed Athadu, and Ashok movies.
In 2009, he acted in the film Arundhathi, which changed his life. He got many awards for the film including Nandi Award for Best Villain,
Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award (Telugu). His action was critically acclaimed by critics.
He also acted in movies like Jodha Akbar, Dabangg, Shootout at Wadala, Happy New Year, Simmba, Kung Fu Yoga and many more
