Nandita Swetha is an Indian Film Actress and Model. She predominantly works with the Tamil and Telugu film industries. She is one of the leading actresses of the Tollywood film industry.
She made her first movie debut through the Kannada film “Nanda Loves Nanditha” as Nandita, in the year 2008. After making of “Nanda Loves Nanditha” movie she adopted her role name Nanditha Swetha as her screen name.
Nanditha Swetha was born on 30 April 1990. She was born and brought up in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Her father name is Aditya Puri who is a businessman and her mother Anita Puri is a homemaker. She has 2 younger brothers.
She did her schooling in Bangalore, Karnataka. She obtained her graduate degree from Christ University in Bangalore, Karnataka. In 2006, after completion of her graduation, she started her career as a VJ in Udhaya Music.
Later, she moved into the acting industry in 2008. In 2012, she made her first Tamil film debut “Attakathi” which was directed by P. Ranjith. Her performance in the movie was appreciated.
She went on to star as an athlete in the movie “Ethir Neechal” which was directed by Durai Senthil Kumar. Later, she has appeared in the comedy entertainment film “Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara” as a Chennai local girl Kumutha alongside famous actor Vijay Sethupathi.
In 2014, some of her movies like “Mundaasupatti”, “Nalanum Nandhiniyum” and “Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani” were released. In 2015, “Uppu Karuvaadu” and “Puli” movies were released.
In the year 2016, the movies “Anjala”, “Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada” were released. She was honored with “Film fare Award” for Best Supporting Actress-Telugu, by the end of December 2017 “Ulkuthu” movie was released.
Later in a TV show “Kalakalappu 2”, she appeared as a guest. After that, her movie “Asuravadham” in which she acted as Maha along with M. Sasi Kumar was released on 29 June 2018.
In the same year, she made her Telugu movie debut with “Srinivasa Kalyanam” in which she appeared in a supporting role. She has acted in an untitled project directed by Rajshekar and has signed a horror film with Mirchi Shiva.
Her upcoming Tamil movies are “Vanangamudi”, “Idam Porul Yaeval” directed by Seenu Ramasamy, “Nenjam Marappathillai” which is directed by Selvaraghavan. Her upcoming Tollywood movies are “Akshara”, “7”, “Kalki” and “Prema Katha Chitram 2” in which she appears in a lead role.
