Kalyani Priyadarshan is an Indian Film Actress who is featuring in South Indian language regional movies. She is known as a daughter of the notable filmmaker in Malayalam industry Priyadharshan.
She made her first movie debut in the year 2017 with a Telugu film “Hello” along with Akkineni Akhil. She was born in the year 1994 in Kerala, India. Her parents are father Priyadarshan who is a notable film director and producer in the Malayalam film industry.
Her mother Lissy (aka) Lakshmi is a famous actress. She was grown up and completed her schooling in Kerala. After completing her junior schooling in India, she moved to the United States for her further studies.
She completed her graduation from Parsons School of Design, New York. After completion of her higher qualification, she decided to start her career in acting and made her debut in Tollywood.
Her parents filed for divorce on 1 December 2014 at Chennai family court and got the divorce on 1 September 2016 after a 24 years long marriage.
She began her career in the film industry in 2013 as an assistant production designer under Sabu Cyril in the Bollywood film “Krrish 3” (2013), and later in 2016, she worked as an assistant art director in the Tamil film “Iru Mugan” (2016).
In 2017, she made her debut with Akhil Akkineni in Telugu movie titled “Hello”. The movie was directed by Vikram Kumar. Being daughter of the notable filmmaker, Kalyani got an opportunity to debut in a huge film playing an opposite role with other star kid Akhil.
With making her first film in Tollywood, she is looking to act more in the south like Tamil and Malayalam films. No wonder even she acted in her father’s directional in the nearby future.
After releasing her first film, she has been in news for posing an image with Pranav Mohanlal, son of actor Mohanlal. Some online portal and media have covered them being in the relationship.
However, the actress clarified to media later that, “Pranav is a very good family friend of mine and moreover, he is like a brother for me.”
Her upcoming movie is “Chitralahari” in which the movie is starring the actors Sai Dharam Tej, Kalyani Priyadarshan, and Nivetha Pethuraj in lead roles.
The movie is directed by Kishore Tirumala and production by Mythri Movie Makers. The music is given by super hit musician Devi Sri Prasad. The film is yet to be released on 12th April 2019.
